Won't start
2003 S2K w/ 28k miles. Last weekend drove from home in Lake Tahoe (6200 elev) through Central Valley (105 degrees), filled up at sea level, and returned. This weekend car won't start. Cranks over fine. Starter fluid will fire but immediately stall, so assumption is no fuel to engine. No trustworthy mechanics or techs that I know of within an hour of here. Any suggestions? Where do I begin?
Thanks for the reply, Suzuka.
Funny.......Last night I couldn't stop thinking about it. This morning I thought there might be an air lock related to the fueling at low altitude and high temp so I opened the gas cap and put it back on and the car started right up. Relief! This evening I got in to take it for a spin and top up the battery after all the starter work and it refused to start again. I'll try again in the morning and listen for the fuel pump?

Thanks for your response, 04white. A small amount of air escaped the gas cap when opened....nothing abnormal. No codes. My baby seems to be starting and running just fine right now (morning or evening) but I'll always wonder when this non-start will happen again.
