Which would be easier to do...
Seeing which one would be easier to do to replace a soft top. I have a 2001 and the top is quite faded now and cracked so I'll be replacing it with the EZ top one.
My question is, which would be easier to do. I have someone with a spare frame so I'm wondeirng if it would be easier to put the top on the frame and simply take out the current one and replace it, or to do the entire method of cutting out the current one and reinstalling the new top while it's still in.

I did a swap to ap2 frame solo and it took 6 hours with a few breaks, and little mechanical know how. I just used the guide for swapping to robbins as a general guide and workd out the rest myself. I have a thread in the gallery with a couple of progress pics on the swap, but definately worth the effort.
To swap to ap2 would be easier than replacing the fabric and window only. I would have thought it easier to replace the fabric only with the frame on the car though if you go that route.
