Default x-brace and ground clearance

Hey guys, out of curiosity, how much ground clearance does the X-Brace for our car sacrifice? I always scrape the bottom pulling into my driveway, so that's a big concern for me since the curb the pull into my driveway is really high. If the X-brace doesn't sacrifice too much, then i'll probably trim down the curb

It technically sacrifies about 1" but in reality it sacrifices nothing for scrapping the nose going in and out of driveways ..... know what I mean?

Hmmm.........I guess i'll have to pass on this. 1 inch is a lot, especially since the curb for my driveway is steep. I also imagine losing 1 inch of ground clearance could cause problems when going over steep speed bumps as well. My friend's neighborhood just recently put a whole bunch of speed bumps in their street which absolutey makes no sense. Since the x-brace kinda sits under where the oil pan and stuff is, that's a critical area to lose 1 inch as well

Oh well, I guess i'll just have to be happy with maybe a reinforced engine brace(that bar under the engine area), and front and rear strut tower braces

why don't you level out the entry to your drive way?

I do believe that the DiGrappa x-brace loses less than an inch. It is a little bit flatter.

I have looked into it, but if what my neighbor says is true, leveling out the curb into my driveway would be against some wierd neighborhood ordinance and wouldn't be legal! I'll look into it more because I could probably tear it up, and redo that end of the driveway myself. Where can you get the DiGrippa x-brace from? What companies out there make x-braces for our S2000's other than DiGrippa, and Mingster?

You don't get it! You don't lose the clearance! It's lined up with your front tires, unless you plan to go over the stuff longitudinally you don't sacrifice the 1".

You'll sacrafice about ZERO inches of ground clearance.

The DiGrappa X-brace is distributed by Rick's Accessories. I have one, and I can tell you that it (and all others for that matter) definitely does NOT have any ground clearance issues. The X-brace is right between the front wheels, so it can't scrape unless you straddle something.
