I've been reading this tech section, and could'nt help but notice that we really need to start locking down some reliable dyno gains.Consider 100 TB done at just a 100 bucks is 10,000 dollars we should'nt be wasting. I'm willing to put my car here in the bay area through the trials. Since I have a Mugen ECU which I can lend for tests too my numbers (or whoevers bought a mod for testing) should'nt be affected by heat or ecu issues in continuous testing.Also, I really think we should have a totally stock car as a baseline for every run, therefore silencing any temp, humidity issues between both cars and sessions.
Hmmmm... I just realized how difficult this will be. Should we consider that h.p. gains might be more/less if you have another mod already? i.e. jack's s2k with cat back exhaust had 4 h.p. gain with supermod #1. While joe without cat back exhaust only gained 2 h.p.
Bottom line is I'm willing to take this on, but I am hoping we get s2000 online support? And of course donations of new mods (temporarily), and money for the dynos/crap. We have a meet next month for Bay area S2k guys. A dyno place called the dynospot (conveniently enough) and would be ideal for a first test. I thinkat least 10 or more? .... have signed up.
note- Rev, I know you were here in the begining and really respect your opinions as fair and true. Would you like to collate data? Meaning? At least now we'll argue about why something does'nt work over IF it does!

p.s. Any ideas on best approach to testing would and should be discussed?

I'm all for what you're saying, but I'm down in SoCal - so it might be hard for me to be of much help to you NorCal folks.

I guess you should compliment cong (on the volks)another n cal member as I sold em to him a few days ago! Actually what I meant about your help was verifying the reports. Like we'll fax you from the dynospot place. I know how people are on this board and can imagine when someone else sees somehing they don't like are going to accuse us of cheating. (:
Well if you have any ideas on formalizing this too we could really get down to the truth. Anyway, i'm hoping for an s2kdays somewhere in california. I always though it was funny that we represent 70 percent of the group but probably organize the least events!
