Default ZOMG Vibrations on the S!

Hi now that I have your attention, here's my story maybe some of you can help.

I've had a vibration problem every since I got the car, however after scouring the forums for fixes, I've managed to fix majority of them.. The following have been done:

In the following order:

- Tyre Pressures
- Wheel Alignment
- Axle Spacers - Fixed 95% of the vibration, was wrapped in my jocks.
- Coil overs - Lowered (again, i presume) - Vibration appears again.
- Replaced LHS Axle (Complete) - Vibration is alot less, 60% gone. Cup was pitted more like a mofo, and the spider bearing was stuck inside the cup..
- Changed Transmission Fluid.
- Replaced Diff mounts - Vibration is alot less, easier gear changes, 70% gone.
- Replaced RHS Axle (Complete) - Vibration is alot less, 90% gone. Grease was a very dark gray/green, with visible pitting.. All spiders went in/out easily though..

So now, I still have about 10% vibration, what do you think I should change/look at next? I think my engine mount might be gone, because I can see cracks in it (RHS), would this be the culprit for my vibration issues? I only mainly get it in gear 3, on load, on acceleration till about 4.5k rpm, then all vibration is gone.

It does my head in, anyone else care to share what else can cause such annoyances? And more importantly how to fix it.. Maybe a droney ebay exhaust perhaps? lol

Peace.

Trans mounts are fine, not visible cracks or signs of wear.. In fact it looks like it's been changed before anyway.. The bushings in the rear, which are you talking about? All the bushes at the back look fine, probably are still running on the OEM ones, but no visible signs of cracking or anything.

I ordered myself an engine damper, so I guess I'll see if that helps. Eventually will change out the engine mounts.. But I have a gut feeling that when I do change it, it won't fix it..

Could the diff be involved in any of this? My diff sounds shocking.. It clonks weird when I snap the clutch into 1/R etc.. But Have been told by a fellow S2K driver that his sounds the same etc..

Does it vary with engine speed, or road speed? Does it increase continuously with speed, or peak out and decrease again?

Well, I feel it most on 3rd gear.. at about 2,800-4,500rpm.. Only on "load" acceleration, if I was cruising, it's vibrate-free. And it's mainly engine speed as I shift at 3,500rpm.. On freeways crusing at 100km/h, in 6th, if I put load on it, it doesn't vibrate as much as it does on 3rd at 40km/h.. But gears 1-2 are FREE of this vibrating..

Weird, I know..

innovative motor, tranny mounts (175 durometer ) and exedium diff collars will fix all your problems, as will tires and a proper alignment ; )

It could be the drive shaft. It has cv joints so they can wear just like the axles. Also, after trying out a Driveshaft Shop aluminum drive shaft, I put my stock DS back in backward by mistake . It shook pretty bad.

I changed out both axles brand new as complete replacements. So I'm pretty confiden that it ain't those.

I noticed that it's more of a speed thing, around 55-69km/h it happens on any gear. I will check tranny/diff mounts again to be sure.

Sounds like drivetrain harmonics at that rpm range. If I lug the car in that range my car shakes my teeth loose. It's the springs in the clutch, and the slack in the diff gears bouncing off of each other. Just a thought.
