It was a simpler time for those lucky enough to enjoy that year. I love the memories this song brings to my mind. It was the year we got married and had our first child. My memories of Paris and France in the early 60s still danced in my head and this song brings them back. Love it.

Feeling nostalgic, are you? I was 11 and so naive compared to today's 11 year-olds. I liked it.

Yep, I think so.

Spent yesterday getting a clearance from our family doctor for my upcoming surgery (EKG, blood work, etc.). Good results on everything; still it sure would be nice to be young again and not have health issues to think about.

What I miss the most is running for miles. I started when I was 18 and was happy to go one whole mile. I kept running until I was 47 and my back couldn't take it anymore. A ruptured disc finally made me stop. I watch runners wistfully now.

Passed under this sign every day on the way to work: (definitely not Paris!)

Spent quite a bit of time at the controls of this fine machine:

Was in college in NC. One of my fave songs is Summer of ‘69.

Here is a question for you all: it’s 1969 and you have five thousand dollars to buy a brand new car what would you buy?

Did not realize for a long time that the song is not about the year of 1969.
