I went to Amsoil MTF. Especially when it is warm, the shifter has become butter smooth.

I also have noticed a difference with the new Pilot 4S vs the Pilot Super Sports. Viva la difference!
Hmm. Now I have to go see which ones I recently put on my S. Whichever one it is I love them love them love them!

The Super Sports have terrific grip and feel. So much better than the DZs they replaced. Now with the 4Ss the steering seems lighter; If I just look in a direction the car goes there. I have pushed it on a couple of decreasing radius S turns near home and the 4Ss almost taunt me: "Is that the best you can do?' Impressive.

I agree that the gearbox is not as satisfying as the S2000 (I own a MY '00) with longer throws than the Honda. However, I think if we added a short shifter it would be a very very close comparison. The car itself is so lightweight that 181hp is plenty of power - I am able to chirp the tires when shifting aggressively. It really sucks up the bumps well (that may just be because it is new) and seems to handle very well. The tilt/telescope steering wheel is much appreciated.

I am surprised at how much smaller it is than my S2K. In fact, we took it to get PPF installed and when we got in my car, she noted how much "roomier" and "spacious" it was (!!). I pulled the car into the garage normally occupied by my car and was surprised how much more room I had to walk around it.

Current mods (yes, I have already modded it) include smoked sidemarker lenses and a module that keeps the LED DRLs (aka "Fang Lights") active when the headlights are on (really changes the look of the car on the road). 35% window tint has also been installed.
Hard to imagine the S2000 had more room but I've not sat in the new Miata. Thanks for the post.

Agreed the passenger side if the Miata/Fiat is smaller than the S . Not as much leg room
