205 MPH Speeding Ticket
Wow... I'm planning on getting a little Ninja 250cc later on this year, but I don't think I'll be going much faster than the speed limit. I feel safe doing that in a car, but on a bike... well, let's just say I like to keep my limbs intact.
It's hard to imagine going 150+ on something that makes you so vulnerable.

Read that one deatil again. A helmut protects your head upto about 40 MPH.
My guess is most think 90 MPH or 205 MPH, what is the difference, both = death. In fact 205 is probably better, less chance of living and spending the rest of your life a cripple.

205 MPH on a modified street "crotch rocket" is impressive. But there is a time and a place for everything. That is why this year at FCT04 I opted for a moderate touring group and two days of track time to "let it out".As I still have the "need for speed" I used to road race motorcycles and back in 1978 when bike had a tubular steel frame and bias ply tires I had the opportunity one season to ride the scariest machine that I have ever riden/driven a highly modified Kawasaki three clylinder two stroke 750CC H-2. It would do third gear 100 MPH power wheelies
With it's Charlotte gearing I estimate the speed at about 165 MPH. It had not speedo. But it was fast enough on the straight away at Summit Point for my peripheral vision to start going away. :-)
