My first concern was what type of emission the acetone might cause. Is it toxic or tame? That pretty much comes before an increase in gas mileage in my book...

I've been using it in my cars for the past 9 months...
In the S (2001), I don't get the sooty buildup on the exhaust tips or back bumper. In the times I do not use it, ie at the track, the soot returns. Gas mileage wise, I don't see a difference because I am WOT 75% of the time to make sure my shift beeper is working
I had the plugs out a couple months back when I was doing a valve job and the tips looked perfect. Overall I like it because of the cleaner burn I get.
In my 2 accords, one (2001) easily gets 10% better gas mileage since I have been putting it in. This car is a daily freeway driver of 60 mile roundtrips daily. Again the exhaust tips stay cleaner.
The other accord (1994) is just driven aound in stop and go traffic and gets what it always gets...25 mpg. I just got it smogged and the numbers were way down from the smogging it got 2 years ago.
I get better results from costco gas vs arco gas. You can get a gallon at walmart for $11.
Just my 02.
