Good luck, Dave. Hope you find one that works well with your Mac. I've never run an ad blocker. Most seem like more trouble than I care to exert. As a result I have become adept at just ignoring ads and don't even notice most of them. Well, except on YouTube..

Sorry, about that. I use InPrivate mode in IE (CTRL-SHIFT-P). Plus, Stop Google Tracking and Privacy Choice in TOOLS ---> Manage Add-Ons. These pretty much stop all side ads and pop-ups in every site.

Am I wrong?
Cookies are left on your computer by sites you visit. They're called Tracking Cookies and that's what they do. When you visit a website, in the exchange of information between the website server and your computer, you're given a cookie. Doesn't that sound innocuous and so nice of the website?

I keep going to the Nestles website hoping that they would leave some Toll House cookies for me!

These Internet "cookies" are bad ones. They give you max heartburn and acne!

Decided to install Ghostery to see if it would get rid of that pesky Sponsored Content thread at the top of the normal threads. It did, along with the other ads on the page. So See how long it works.

I just added Ghostery, too. It works like a charm, so far. Even my Yahoo email page has lost the ads to the side, in addition to the ad at the top, here, Jim.

AdBlock works fine for me. If I pause it I too see the ads.
