That way, I could then cancel the registration on it this year. It allows me to avoid having to pay excise tax on it for next year.

I have to admit it was an emotional ride over. An awful lot of memories in that car. Many shared with my friends here on this forum.
In honer of Chazmo, I put on a hat, cranked up the heat and put the top down. Swirlies one last time.
That's the spirit, Jer! Keep your eyes open for a silver Miata with the top down, of course. Happy new year, everyone.

What? A Miata!? Okay, so how does it compare to your dirty S2000?

The new baby is home.
So several comments. first yes my garage is a mess. The next house will have a 6 car garage. ( pending SWMBO approval, of course )
The GT_S isn't a small car but compared to the S63 coupe it looks almost tiny.
The tires really don't like cold weather. with that as a caveat, this is the first vehicle I've ever owned that will break the rears loose when already rolling and just punching it.
The S63 has more power but AWD. The brakes are special too.
There is a turn about a mile my house. It turns about 135 degrees back on itself.
Coming into the corner at 50 I can delay braking until about 30 foot before the corner and make it comfortably with no squealing and stay in my lane.
My bride won't let me call it "my precious " because of course she is. and there can be only one.

Nice, that was one of the cars that I drove at Lime Rock this summer at AMG’s Performance Driving school. Loved it!

I look forward to finding someplace to do what you did Jim.
I'm thinking about doing their school. Even better that I am beating on their cars.

OK, now you have all winter to clean that garage!

Btw, Congratulations. I love that color.
