Default ALMOST bought a BMW

Nothing in Jerry's league.
1987 BMW 325i convertible automatic on BaT. Bid it to 11,500 and let it go. Winning bidder was the next bid at 11,750.

12K seemed like a bit of a reach considering the BaT buyer fee and getting it back to Mississippi. It would have replaced my Miata (fun top-downer) and my 79 Accord (Cruisin' the Coast eligible) and Sandy could have driven it with her bum clutch ankle.
Oh, well. Bidding was fun.

I thought that was high. Then I found on CL nearby a 1987 convertible, red with white interior, 5 speed manual, 112K miles for $13.5. Shows how much I know about BMWs. I've never owned one.

Looks like very good condition. The +1 had a BMW convertible for awhile after we met. Then he had to get a larger backseat for the kids so bought the Lexus. Still has it.

Those are neat cars. Back in 87 I was working at Dominos and the company truck I would use broke down so my boss handed me the keys to his then new dolphin grey bmw 325 coupe. I remember it had around 600 miles on it. Didn't make much in tips that night but enjoyed driving it.
