Hmmm Just to be clear about ^^^ John's request, there is no prohibition that I know of against using words like 'government', or mentioning the name of the U.S. President, or any other U.S. or Canadian individual in Main Vintage. As has now been repeatedly stated, the posting rules proscribe posts expressing our political views or values anywhere outside of Politics. You are welcome to start your own descriptive thread to explain the Canadian system if you wish. Obviously the Canadian Medicare system is a government run system. (Who knows, it probably could even be possible to keep a topic on the Canadian health care system from taking the form of political rhetoric in the responses. But sometimes our minds meander.)
