I looked at Costco last night just to see if they had any. They had two.

Magellan Roadmate 700 $850

Magellan Sportrack Color Hand Hld GPS 980616-54 $200

I am thinking of a Garmin though, since people seem to like them. Gotta keep looking and learning...

Thanks, Valentine. I looked and read. Sure is a lot of info that I know nothing about. I was comparing yours and Rob's.

All,

We just picked up a Garmin C330 today. Still waiting for Garmin to unlock the unit to receive the sat signals. But walking through the setup steps and navigating the menus could not be any easier on it's touch screen. Also the display is big and bright enough for our "Vintage" eyes!

Patty, I would really recommend you checking the C330 out. The suction cup vaccumm assisted windshield mount makes it easy to transfer from vehicle to vehicle and it also functions as a hand held with it's own rechargable lithium-ion battery. Therefore one can use it when hiking or on your motorcycles. Or if you decide to get into Geo-Caching.

I've had the Garmin Street Pilot III Deluxe for the last two years and really like it. I'd give it a big .

Jerry,

I'm pretty sure Patty has left town for a week or so, guess her countdown will have to start when she gets back. I don't think she has an internet connection where they are, no S2kI.

Hope she makes it through the withdrawal symptoms.

Welcome back, Patty, whenever you get back.

I'm back for 3 days and then off again for 9 days. Andy and I went to the SacS2KDays Friday thru today. I've got lots to do but hope to get some pictures posted in the Odds and Ends Photo Thread soon. Yosemite with two S2000s, Lake Tahoe with two S2000s... and some photos of Vintage members.
