Nice job! Looks great. As for window treatments, I am not a fan. Prefer nothing on the windows. But I do have shades in the condo where needed. Not the completely dark ones, but those that let in light. I love the bamboo shades on the balcony in particular. I can see through the slats but they screen out the harsher rays of the sun. I lower them until the sun goes around in the afternoon, then open them up.

Thanks, Bill. You know, it isn't that big but when I tried to carry the Miata engine in from the garage, I had to give it up about half way. Just too heavy. And the monster V6 in the Accord...forgetaboutit.

Yes, I thought the bamboo shades worked beautifully on your balcony. Some balcony, btw.

Thanks...forgot you saw those. Was gonna post a pic. Just a small bamboo shade that matches the wood floor, I think would look good.

Merci, Monsieur. You are very kind.

I wanted to wait until the bead board was installed on the counter back before doing pics. So of course that was the very last thing the contractor did. Finally finished this morning. Now, step away from the butter.

Looks very nice. Love the white cabinets with the counter top. Floor looks great too.

The only window treatments on my windows are valances to add a little color. Window shades added in bedrooms and bathroom.

It's been 10 years since we remodeled our kitchen. It looks similar to your before pic.

First off, it looks great. Black counter tops can be a pain to keep clean but they make the whole place pop! As for the shads, take them down. But that's just my 2 cents. But if there's something outside you don't want to see, leave them there.

Nice!!!!!! Great job. I'm not a window treatment fan either and feel they just add to the dusting/cleaning process. Like Gene's and MsP's suggestions very much.
