Default Anyone need a shift knob?

I have an S2000 shift knob and no car to put it in. It's a special one as it spent most of it's life atop an NSX shifter .

Let me know. I'd like someone either here or in Allegheny to end up with it.

Which year? With or without the leather?

If it had been the titanium one or even the original all-metal one, I might have taken you up on that.

In any case, I hope it stays in the 'family'.

Mount it in a shadow box and hang it on the wall as a souvineer (sp)

Phil, don't be so quick to toss away the memories. I still have the original shift knob from my very first car - Triumph Spitfire - and my first MGA - and my S2000 (I replaced it with wooden one). I have the knobs displayed alongside models of the cars and was always glad I saved them.

And I still have the original knob from my MY00 Berlina -- and my 73 VW bus! I think it will mean more to you than to one of us.

I bought it for the NSX for two reasons: I really liked the feel of it when I had the S, and I was paying tribute to a great car that led me to great people. It has very little to do with the NSX in my mind. It has to do with the S and all of you.

I don't need mementos to remember or cherish that...it's a part of me .

Bump. Anyone coming to SF that needs it? I could hand-deliver it, with a big hug no extra charge .
