Default Anyone trying the new cable or fios based home security systems?

Please let us know if you have signed up for either the fios or cable company home security systems we all see advertised lately and please tell us what you think of the service.

Do they shield the cable coming down from the pole, or can it be cut at the pole defeating the system? Same thing for the point of entry at the house.

Taking out a single house "should" actually set off the alarm.
Take out the cable at the entrance to a neighborhood however.....
