^^ Sometimes a little skittish tail happy behavior keeps us humble.

Yep. The first replacement tires I had put on were Kumho Ecstas 205/225. This was before I knew about the funky sizing of the SO-2s. It was a lot of fun but I really had to pay attention. I thought at the time the car just handled that way.

Raymo, next time 225/265 - I have that setup and I won't go back!

I shift mainly by sound, particularly when driving aggressively, because I like to watch the road rather than the dash.
Spend some time at the track. You will quickly learn to un-learn that habit. Inside the helmet with all the racket from one's own car and those of others around you, you'll be surprised how much you can see including your tachometer when you can no longer depend on your own engine noise.

I'm running 225/255 now and the tires are just tucked in the fender well. The car is better balanced than ever. What tires are you running? I may want to consider 265s next time. Especially after next month's mod.

On the street I am running Yokohama ES100s 225/265 R18

Track - Kumho V700 225/265 R16.

225/265 keeps the stock stagger intact.

FWIW, the AP2 will slide too. It may be less likely to oversteer, but it will oversteer. Please trust me on this.

[QUOTE=valentine,Aug 18 2006, 01:22 PM] Where I really notice a big difference is when I'm entering the highway from an entry ramp and I always wound the older one out.
