A bad day at work?
After a bad day, or even better, during one, I have a list of things that pull me out of the doldrums:
Go for a walk around the (office, complex, building, cell-block, whatever)
Strike up a conversation with a stranger. This can be sometimes weird so always have a quick exit strategy (oops gotta go, my medication is wearing off)
Go for a drive, take a long lunch, might as well stay for happy hour.
Exercise. Remember the Canadian Air Force isometrics ? (Could have unintended consequences in an office environment.)
Meditate (OK sometimes this turns into a short nap)
See how long it takes to get a five year old to laugh (often measured in microseconds). Actually, just being around a five year old will elevate your spirit.

Granddaughter will be here Saturday! One "knock knock" joke and we're good to go!

We are very lucky to have our daughter and five year old granddaughter living with us. She really lights up our lives.

TGIF!!!!!!
I know that it is St. Paddy's day and that yesterday Lainey stated that she was going to shopping for shoes to make her self feel better. But I am confused about the "TGIF" instructions found in shoes made in Poland?
It's now official - I am having a bad day. I just dropped a full sheet of 3/4 inch plywood on my foot edgewise and my big toe is now swollen to about the size of a plum and probably broken. Driving to the airport to pick Martha up this afternoon is going to be so much fun.
I guess I'd better practice my Festus impression... Mr. Dillon! Mr. Dillon!
Lainey, I'll trade you my toe for your colonoscopy.
