Is this not the year the Cubs are going to go all the way?

Speaking of the Cubbies - don't hold me to this but word is Kyler Burke from Ooltewah High School here in Chattown will be breaking camp with the big league club.

I seem to remember telling you folks to keep him on your radar a couple of years ago.

The fact he's the oldest granddaughter's bf has no bearing on this post.

Go Kyler!

Got overlap between the Caps and the Nats right now. Plus the Skins just acquired Donovan McNabb from the Iggles. A bit of a surprise.

Nats beat the Phillies yesterday 6-5. Good game. I hope they do more winning this year. Can't be much worse.

Had to bump this for the great game the Nats played yesterday against the Brewers. They won 8-0, a shutout with only four hits allowed. Livan Hernandez pitched the whole game - ususual these days. Fun to watch. We are headed to the game today. Hope it's a repeat, or at least another win.

The hapless Astros have had a hard time getting started this year.

The Nats are not good, either. But every once in awhile, something nice like yesterday happens. Although they won the first Brewers game, too. Looking for a sweep today. Also looking to see our new star pitcher, Strasburg!

My plus one is a die hard Yankees fan. I've seen more baseball in the last year than I have during the previous decade

I'm a Mets fan. I saw more baseball last night than I have in a long time.

I never expected it to go 20 innings, and I couldn't believe the Mets won. The way they were playing it really looked like neither team wanted to win.

No sweep of the Brewers. Yesterday's game was wild. Brewers scored 10 runs in the FIRST inning. Then another in the second. Nats came back with seven runs, but that didn't get it done. As usual, the pitching left a lot to be desired. The stadium experience is really great, though. I got Club Level seats this year, which are sections on the second level of the park above home plate. The +1 loved it - private restrooms, club store, bar area with indoor seating, food. Nice! I just added one more game in June.

I used to have Club Seats at Jacobs Field (or Progressive Field, or whatever it's called now), in Cleveland. Very nice game experience.
