^ On the other hand, Nats have lost 11 of the last 16. And this is the team that supposedly has a great shot at the WS this year. Ugh.

Just be glad you're not a mets fan. The collapse came very early this year.

lets go mets.

I do not want to beat the drum any more but most know I find baseball boring.

But, having said that we have been going to the two grandkids games Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thur for several weeks. Thankfully it ends tonight. Yet, I can brag a little about them. The oldest (14), who normally plays 2nd base, played his best game of the season in the final game of the season in which he pitched the 7th inning. With the bases loaded he struck out the last potential hitter and his team won 20 to 19. His younger brother (13), who also plays 2nd base, is on a team seeded number 3 in their house elimination tournament. They won their first game 14 to 4 and their second 7 to 6 thanks to his final play from 2nd. Tonight is the championship game (heat index is like 95 or higher). Yikes.

I feel your pain. The O's own the worst record in MLB. I stopped watching them.

Let's go A's! 8-2 in the last 10 games, MLB-record road homer streak 27 game.

I don't mind if they stand pat at the trade deadline; not buyers or sellers.

For whatever reason, the Nats went on a tear against the Phillies last night. Won 17-7. Too bad they did not spread around all that offense to other games they lost. Maybe this will be the end of their big slump.

Phillies run hot and cold. They are a young team and are planning for the future.
