Default Baseball 2019

It's that time again...just got tix for three games, so far. Nats have lost Harper, although he has not said yet where he will end up. Either Giants or Phillies? Machado just signed with the Padres for 10 years, $300M. Not bad!

300M is ridiculous. No wonder some people can't afford to go see a game. Harper needs to get off the pot and sign up. Its probably a money issue with him as well. Willie Mays was the highest paid player in baseball in 1957. 100 grand.

Adjusted for inflation, $100,000.00 in 1957 is equal to $910,264.49 in 2019. I think the league minimum wage is over a 1/2 million a year now! Amazing.

Harper went to the Phillies. Nats have quite a few new players, so we'll see how the team fares this year. Home opener today!

That should help them but they need the other players to step up and produce too especially the pitching staff.

Nats tried to give away the third game against the Mets in the 8th, but Turner came through with a walkoff homer in the 9th to win 6-5. Finally...
