Default The Basement

Here are some pictures of our basement project.

Coming downstairs...

Looking left after coming down the steps. The doorway leads to the bathroom.

The door out to the patio...

From the pool table area to the home theatre...

The back of the HT...

The new plasma...

Out to the patio...

More of the pool table area...

Every basement needs some sports stuff...
Autographed Rusty Wallace shirt...

NASCAR art...

Indians programs and tickets...
Left is 1995 World Series, and right is Opening Day 1994. First game at Jacobs Field...

The bathroom...

And of course, every home theatre needs a crash test dummy...

Looks terrific, Carmen...I like the paint/trim combination and the prayer railing in white. Nice woodsy area out back, too.

Excellent job! I wish my stuff turned out so well. You might want to move the TP a little closer to the toilet, though. That looks to be quite a stretch in the picture.

What is above the double doors? Lighting? Drop down privacy screen of some kind?

Nah, it's just a soffit. There was a beam or pipe or something up there that we had to box in. I still need to get room darkening window treatments for the window and slider, although with a plasma it is really almost a non-issue. When I had the rear projection big screen TV ambient light was a killer.

Dean,

My wife said the same thing. But when I gave it a "dry run" (pun intended) it seemed to work there.
