We had a couple in our area over the summer. Not the norm. I saw your bear on the news, Grant.

I remember being in Tennessee many years and people would always say Black bears were safer, and they don't tend to bother with humans. But we always heard stories of people being attacked by Black bears there too.

The bear showed up this morning walking around someone's catamaran at the Naples Yacht Club. That's a couple blocks from our business. Then it wandered around up by our store. We had no clue until a guy comes in and asks to use our phone to call the cops. The bear was next door. Last we heard they found where the bear was hanging out and are trying to trap it.

Yup, the campers were in the Grizzly's home and at this time of the year Grizzly's are busy getting food ahead of hibernation.

I came home one afternoon and there were two cubs in my front yard, I hit the horn to scare them away and they climbed up the tree in the front yard. I looked to my left and here came Mama so I backed away and let them regroup and take off.

I didn't know bears lived in Florida.
What's the difference between a Florida black bear and a black bear?
The Florida black bear (Ursus americanus floridanus), is one of 16 subspecies of the American black bear and is the only bear species in Florida. While other subspecies of the American black bear can have different coat colors from black to blonde to cinnamon, Florida black bears are black furred.

People on "Nextdoor" in my neighborhood posted bear videos about two weeks ago. I think I'm a little too far from Buckhorn Creek and don't have the trees for shelter that they have. I only had a loose and lost llama walking through my yard Sept 24th.

I just spent a week in northern Montana and didn’t see one bear. Not one! Would have been happy from a distance.
sitting in Salt Lake City waiting for the red eye home. I suspect I may take the first steps of dumping memory cards and doing some initial pic sorting tomorrow.

I seen one bear in my life, it was a black bear in the Gatlinburg area of TN, I was driving and he was on the side of the road looking at the rolling river that was along the roadway. I was so surprised I wasn't sure if I had to report it to the park rangers in Smokey National Park, but common sense settled in and told me that was likely a very normal experience there.

That was two years before I was born. I did however read and watch The Yearling. Poor Flag.
Old Yeller was my bummer.
