There are sheets that I like and sheets that I'll buy.
I am rather fond of Frette Sheets. When we stayed at the American club in Kohler we had them on the bed.
A very nice crisp sheet, but at over a grand a set not likely. They do have sales and at times ( right now) you can find some at around $270.
For winter sheets, Lands End makes a Supima Flannel sheet. It's a nice mix of almost smooth and silky but a soft like flannel.
Some flannel, the cehap stuff, teh fabric breaks down quickly and becomes course and uncomfortable.
They haven't ever pilled on us. They last for years. I cherry pick when they are on sale. Normally
I'm not sure how I'll like the tea green but they were cheap and a king set was $89. ( thanks for the prod to go look) If we don't like the color we can return them.
I think it was land's end that we got a set of percale as well for summer use. also nice.

I used to like flannel sheets and Lands End sheets. Fleece sheets won me over for winter. My son's Lands End sheets tore and I quit buying them. That was about 17 years ago.

I made a deal with my wife if we got flannel sheets, she had to sleep nude.
The sheets lasted a lot longer than the deal did.

To me, sleeping on flannel sheets is like sleeping on 60 grit sandpaper.
