Google cars show up in nevada

These are the autonomous "driver-less cars of the future".

the only upside I could see is telling your car to go to the dealer for service and not having to take it in.
Otherwise, it's my description of hell on earth.

I'd say that is a real safe bet. But, just think you leave home, read a good book, and arrive on the other side of the country; or, no more DWI's, or, no more fools texting while driving, or, ...

Knitting! That's right, knitting. Twice on my afternoon commute I ran across a woman in a Scion XB driving with her knees, because she was KNITTING!

But... I want the fun, thrill, excitement of driving....

Don't want to get from point A to point B without having some fun getting there!

Take a hot date and you won't be distracted and who cares who's driving.

We already have a form of driverless cars...they're called taxi's. You can get in one and speak an address and off you go...so what's the big deal .

I think we are past the beginning of the end and getting closer to the end. My beginning of the end moment was when I got into an early 2000's mustang gt and saw it had traction control. I mean if you can't drive a car that's designed to spin the tires and slide sideways without traction control then you shouldn't buy it. Now driver-less cars unbelivable.

It's inevitable that eventually one of these vehicles will be involved in a fatal accident. Although it's likely that the first such accident will be the other car's (driver's) fault, I wouldn't be surprised if that accident pulls all of these off the road for a while.

And if one of these vehicles is shown to be at fault, well, won't that be just special. HPH
