This picture of Lover's Leap at Rock City Gardens high atop Lookout Mountain , Tennessee was taken from my front yard. They claim you can see seven states from this vantage point but I've never bought it because it faces due east.
This morning as I was checking fluids and tire pressures on the fleet a couple from Rob's neck of the woods pulled up in my driveway and said "We're trying to find Rock City and missed our turn. Can you tell us where it is?"
I couldn't help myself. I went into Bubba mode and took a long pull on my Bloody Mary, pointed my right arm, and said "Well it's right up there".
The thing is the road to get there is about three miles north of here. They looked up at the top of the mountain, then at each other, and finally back at me. I just stood there.
Finally the guy asked "Can you tell us how to get there?". I replied "Sure. Go to the end of this road, take a left, then left at the first red light about three miles up the road".

Southern charm at it's finest, at least you didn't try to sell them a souvenir rock.
With that view you could open a gift shop with a scenic photo stop. Give up the plans for the baitshop, bar thing.

I didn't think about the souvenir rock. I've got a million of 'em.
The liquor store etc. will have to wait for retirement and will be located much further south. But I may have to consider renting out the driveway for photography.

How's the car shopping going?
I'm tired. We've been really shopping around, looking at and comparing a variety of vehicles. Corvette, BMW Z4, 350Z, RX8, so far we've narrowed it down to two. The Honda, of course, and the 350Z, both for different reasons. The 350 is as close as we can get to the Honda and stay within some kind of budget. There is no question the Honda is the best performing car in it's class out there. We're looking at it from a somewhat different perspective in that if we are going to be doing some traveling in the car, something with a little quieter and softer ride might be better. No decisions yet we're still pondering.

I thought I behaved exceptionally well considering I never got a "Pardon me" or a "Please". I did get a "Thank you" though.
Don't blame the couple. We never use those words up here. We don't know what they mean. I'm surprised they said "thank you". They must've picked up that expression during one of their stops.
