Timo Glock just earned a place on Lewis Hamilton's Christmas card list.

Hmmm, The driver that won the most races did NOT win the Championship. for Massa.

OH well, LH lost by one point last year.

But this is the first time in over twenty years that the driver that won the most races did not win the Driver Championship. Will this bring about a change in the points system for next year?

IMHO there should be more than one point difference between 1st and 2nd. There should also be a point for the fastest lap. I don't think there should be a point for poll, as at many tracks (I.E. Monte Carlo) starting on poll is an advantage to win the race anyway.

Just my two cents.

What a season, what an end to the season. (the last turn of the last lap after the race had already been won by Massa for those of you that did not see it).

Matt if you take away the steward silliness in Belgium. Lewis did win more.

I feel bad for Massa. He had the championship in his hands for most of his cooldown lap, and then it was snatched away.

But IMO, the correct guy won. That Spa decision was ridiculous, and if not for that the championship would have been wrapped up two weeks ago. If Massa had won by the margin of the Spa decision, it would have been tainted.

Even more so, the extra point he got at Fuji was even more questionable, and it would have been that point he won by.

Hamilton cemented the championship by not panicking when Vettel got past him. If he had overdriven the car trying to get past Vettel he would never have been in position to get past Glock. When it really counted, he showed intelligence and good judgment.

Massa was crushed emotionally, but made a very brave and sportsmanlike showing after the race. Alonso did not come off so sportsmanlike, IMO.

Glock made an interesting gamble by staying out on dry tires. It actually did pay off for him, in terms of getting sixth place. But it also made the last lap of the race MUCH more fascinating than it would have been otherwise, if he had pitted for wet tires like everyone else.

For what? Glock almost screwed Hamilton over. If he had pitted for dry tires like everyone else, that would have been that.

People are acting like he somehow screwed up or gave away a position to Hamilton. Far from it, he tried to steal one away by staying out on dries. It almost worked.

funny thing about watching the race.
My son called on the phone for something entirely unrelated with about a lap and a half to go right as Vettel got by Hamilton.
a little later I was watching the replay with #2 son and my wife called in virtually the same spot.

It was a joke son.

And here I thought everyone but Glock [and a couple of others] pitted for the intermediate/wet tires.... not DRY.

My bad.....!!!!

All this leaves a bad taste,...

With so much $$$ involved,it looks like,it could be ...arranged.

Hamilton,lost by one point,last year...

He wins,by one point,this year...

Ferrari wins the constructors title,;McLaren were cheating last year...

I don't know...
