Built In Pest Control System Experience?
We moved into our new home and found out that we have TAEXX Built in Pest Control System in our house. Apparently, this is a system of small tubing installed in the walls of our house at the time of construction. They come out quarterly to inject chemical spray from outside of our house into two designated patch, each on opposite side of the house siding. Do you have any experience with this system? If so what are your impressions?
I wouldn't expect Maryland to have much of a need for pest control systems, not like you have termites. I'd be more afraid of the chemicals than any pests. If you were down south that might be a different story.

Just what kind of pests are they treating for ? Most of the common pests die off over the winter months so I don't see much need for that kind of system in northern climates. Having been to parts of the world where innocent people die by accidental poisoning from pest control treatments I try to avoid all chemical treatments unless it is totally necessary and one has an infestation. Air moves through wall systems so what is in the walls will enter the home through some crack or crevice.
Good thing you don't have them for the impending cicada invasion. But maybe you don't get cicadas there. How bout palmetto bugs (giant roaches we had in our house in SC many years ago)?
Yup, we have an automated system called winter. Does a great job of killing a lot of those little nasties.
We don't have to do a thing, you wake up one day and poof, everything is white.
Although occasionally the system does get a little whacked and the timer doesn't shut off like it is supposed too.
Then you wind up with like two or three feet of "winter" in the yard.
