I looked up the recipe last night. Figured it was some sort of libation. My next door neighbor in Acton used to like Slippery Nipples made with Sambuca (licorice flavor), so I had an idea of what flts was up to. From Wikipedia...


Slippery Nipple #4 (Note: This version is also known as “Buttery Nipple”)
Quantity Ingredient
1/2 oz. Baileys Irish Cream
1/2 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps

Glass type: Shot
Directions: Pour schnapps first and then float the Baileys on top.



The most common version of the the Slippery Nipple consists of

½ shot of Black Sambuca
½ shot of Baileys

Pour the Sambuca into a conical shot glass, then carefully and slowly pour the Baileys down the side of the glass so that the two liquids do not mix and the Baileys floats atop the Sambuca. It takes a knack to do this. The Baileys can also be poured over an upside-down spoon to get it to float. Some recipes call for placing a cherry (the "nipple") in the bottom of the shot glass.

 

Val, I think that particular drink was consumed at the Nor'Easter in 2006. I know you were there at the bar with us, but I'm not sure if you were indulging. I know I didn't, but Legal Bill did. I may even have a pic...........
