My Dad has a bunch of old LP's (the bigger ones) no comments on my lack of technical terms
He wants to be able to copy the on to the computer so he can burn them to a CD.
I have heard of a portable CD burner that could hook up to the system, but I can't find anything.
I want to do this easily, rather cheap, but good quality and something we can do together. He will be so happy!
Patsy Cline here we come..

I also have a CD recorder, and while it makes great LP to CD copies, it does not allow one to store the digital music for later compression. If an MP3 player is in his future, I would go the route of storing the music on a hard drive for later compression.

As for our front speakers, they look almost identical to the ones in the picture below, only as with the rear speakers, mine are black.

I don't have any pics to share, but I have Maggie 3.6Rs in the front and 1.6QRs in the rear, which are all driven by Bruno Putzey's UcD (Class D) based amps - 400W/channel. For handling the low end, I have a self-built infinite baffle subwoofer built into the attic/ceiling with four custom eighteen inch drivers, which are powered by Crown K2 amps (also Class D).

Should I even admit that I think the music in my ears from my Sony walkman or a cheap CD player sounds just fine?
