My Patty is out after the first 5 miles. I beginning to think I'm boring her to the point of sleep.

My daughter in law often falls asleep quickly in a car. Wish I could. After an S2000 meet I always need a nap! We stay up way too late at those meets!

It's trust and faith in your driving ability, David.

Same here. I voted "other" since I have great difficulty sleeping if my +1 is driving the S, but he nods off as soon as we leave the driveway (almost) and sleeps constantly while I'm driving. I otoh cannot sleep while ANYONE is driving my S. I'm not comfortable letting someone else take the wheel. I feel that the S is tuned to my driving her and she is not happy unless I'm behind the wheel. The S is a car that demands one's full attention and it's steering, etc. is such that sometimes I don't even think its a very good idea to do a lot of thinking about anything except the driving of that car. I vividly remember one occasion when we were returning from a meet in NC when he nodded off and only woke up with I started zooming in reverse up a ramp to avoid what could have been a horrible collision. The noise of the car that careened across the highway sideways into a guardrail woke him up.

I'm never a passenger in the Perkymobile, so the answer is no for me. The +1 doesn't fall asleep, either, probably because I'm scaring him quite frequently. He still calls me Mario Andretti. He says I'm not scaring him when I ask, but I'm not so sure.
