Default The Challenge.

As you all know, Vintage is soon to be classified as a club. This means that we will no longer have a spot on the Forums page. The problem with that is that we may experience a decrease in traffic. We will be harder to find and, new members may not find us at all.

Here is the challenge. What can we do to increase the visibility of Vintage? Jerry has suggested putting a link in your signature. I thought about asking Mark (PWRMKR) to incorporate the word Club into the badge. There must be other things. We are a smart and creative bunch, does anyone have any ideas?

Adding "club" to the badge is a good idea. As you know, I post mostly outside of "Vintage". That's where my "duties" take me, so to speak. I and those like me, who post elsewhere on the forum and have the Vintage badge in our sigs, can act as "embassadors". People who see the badge and are interested WILL look for the forum.
ps. You shouldn't be too concerned about the numbers of visitors. As with any new forum, initial numbers are high and as time passes, they naturally decrease to a new plateau, with the usual peaks and valleys along the way.

Well, if it doesn't violate the rules, we could post a note in the general forums like S2000 talk about our new location.

I like the idea of adding the word "Club" to the badge but incorporating it into the design might make the whole thing look too busy. I really like it the way it is. Let's check with Mark and see if he is willing to fiddle with it. Another thing is to change the description under the name...several people have suggested that.

Could "Owners" be changed to "Club" in the badge?

I got the word. I'm playing with it.

As you might or might not know, I like to mess around a little.
This is what I came up with so far. It took like 12 hours. I need some rest.
Let me know what you think. (mark ducks for cover)

*Does everyone know that our Vintage badge already acts as a link....when you Click on it?

*I think my "double-devil" signature link is a good "advertisement" when posting out on the Dark Side (anything that is not Vintage ) and also can easily be set up as a link, as I have done. When I added the sig link, I revised the other sig elements and now I enable my sig on most all posts

*Maybe PWRMKR would design a sig link for us! Then all of the willing embassadors could add it to their sig

I discovered this quite by accident only a few days ago. I just thought I was the only one that didn't know about this. I'm going to put in my sig: "CLICK ON MY BADGES BELOW TO TAKE YOU TO OTHER COOL FORUMS:"
