Chris Stack is taking this very seriously.
(Sorry Chris. I'm sure Cordy will be right over to help you out.)

That really is how I feel about SUVs. I just wanted to put out a rallying cry and see what the response was. Kind of my own little reality check. I wish I could get folks to crush their SUVs.
I really am buying an AMG Mercedes tomorrow.
Let's just say that my "saving the world" hat is always on, as my morning commute is about 25 feet.
Bill, standard cars from the 40's on were bigger than SUV's, and got worse gas mileage. Even with low mileage SUV's, their emissions outputs are a mere fraction of what the lowly Ford Pinto put out in the 70's.
I think it's time for you to have another reality check.

Meh. If we put all the technology towards light weight and fuel efficiency we could have cars that are just as fast and get 50MPG. Like my mom used to say, "Don't compare yourself to the worst and say 'I'm not as bad,' compare yourself to the best and say 'I'm better.'"

Is this your attempt at "stirring the pot"? I feel like I just heard a pastor say "fudge", and then turn red because he swore.
