I have my high school one, which is residing in the jewelry box with a bunch of other stuff I never wear. Pretty sure I didn't get the college one.

I wonder how many folks wear these rings, say a year or two past graduation?

I wore my college ring for about 5 years after graduation, then decided to take it off. It still is in my jewelry box, where it will remain. I have no plans to sell it, as it serves as a reminder of the hard work it took to get it!

Edit: I sold my high school ring long ago. (My high school years were not special to me.)

Interesting as here in Texas if you are a grad of Texas A&M or tu people seem to wear them for life. There is a huge amount of networking with each alumni group.

The ring might not get you the job but, it will definately open doors.

I have one. I never wear it. I'd sell it, but not for $70.

You'd get more than $70.00; guys' rings weigh more, but still may not be enough to tempt some folks, which I understand.

Most that I know that sold off the class rings just figured they weren't wearing it, so why not.

My ex-wife of 35 years ago still has it. I asked her, and she confirmed. She didn't offer to give it back though.

She's waiting to see if the price of gold goes higher, then she'll sell.

I'm sure she'll at least split the $ with you.

No school rings. Wedding band which I never take off except for surgery. I wear a Malakite/Pearl ring I bought in Cypress Gardens when we took the kids to Disney in the 70's. It reminds me of the nice vacations we took them on when they were growing up.

^^ I doubt it Lainey. She said it was still wrapped in the original angora. I'd guess it would hurt her feelings if I asked for it back. It will end up with one of our kids some day, I suppose.
