Use the App "Antenna Point" to locate the station transmitters and give you the direction to point the antenna.

We will have to think on this. The advantage of the leaf is that we don't have to go into the attic or onto the roof. I thought that may be you had found an upgrade that you could recommend. Yours is an upgrade but it requires more effort than a leaf. Thanks for the help.

They should change their name to Crimecast.

Over the years I have continually stuck it out with Comcast and will probably continue to do so. Today I exchanged the X1Box because the prior one has been freezing up when watching some shows or tapes for the past week or two. Plug in the new box and nothing. On the plus side they had a booth outside, with plastic, and everyone wore masks. Took in the old box and gave me a new one; no need to sign anything - all nice and safe. But the new box is stuck at the Boot stage. They are sending someone out between 8-10am tomorrow to check things out, saying they online tests show the signal is not getting through. All at no cost to me. All in all good service, except this box is the 8th one I've installed in 4 years!

Dave when the Comcast guy came to my house and gave me a new box I mentioned that it will be nice to have a new box that doesn't freeze up all the time. His reply was "oh these newer boxes are worse than the older ones".

Dave, have them check the signal strength to the box.
they get weird when the signal is low.

Well, as I suspected it was a bad device right out of the box. Signal always is good to the house and it was again today. The good news is they gave the latest X1 box (#9 if you are counting) which is very small and set up for 4G so it is giving me a really good picture! The bad news is it has no frontal display and we always used the clock on the front of the old box as our primary when in the family room; now we have to buy a clock to set beside it. Also it has no connections for linking with our old DVR but we haven't really used it in years. So one more out of date tech item to dispose of.

I'm getting error cl-14 which is on demand not working. The little blue message suggested I check the tightness of the cables which I did and they are fine and then the old standard Comcast move of unplugging the box for a minute which I did and that did nothing still getting the same message after the reboot.
The thing that really bugs me is it is the same problem over and over and over again and yes I realise there are other alternatives to cable but I really enjoy it when it works. I just wish they would provide service equivalent to what they charge.
