As for the 22" screen, it is an adjustment! You almost have to turn your head from side to side to read it, since it is so close. Not sure 19" wouldn't have been better.
for me 24 in was the right answer. but it depends on how you sett the resolution.
I'm running mine at 1920 x 1200.
It allows me to have to word docs open side by side without overlap.
In a perfect world I'd have a second monitor with the same setup.

... By the way, just doing "fdisk" to delete the partitions is not good enough to protect your data...
For most people most of the time deleting the partitions will suffice. Most people lack the tools and/or sophistication to retrieve data from an unpartitioned hard drive.

But yes the data is still there. If you plan to pass the machine on you might format the drive and load the OS for the new owner.

thanks for the suggestions on google earth, ya all.
I have a 22 inch widescreen, flatscreen and really enjoy it. It's a samsung and I think I caught it on sale for under 200. (a year ago)

Yes, I need to fiddle with the resolution. The mouse is going wild, too! Hard to control it. So some tweaking needed there.
