Concealed Carry Weapon
I know there was a thread a year ago (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-vi...ermit-1141485/) that was about concealed carry, but it was not about your choice of weapon.
Looking to get others opinions and reasons for what caliper/manufacturer they carry.
Currently have a Springfield XD 9mm for around the home, but want something smaller for CC. Either a compact 9mm, or maybe a 380 ACP.
I know the 380 does not have the stopping power of the 9mm. but with the right ammo, and lots of practice, should be able to put more rounds on target.
Thoughts/comments?

I have both a Glock 9MM 19 Gen 4 and a .380 42 Gen 4. I prefer to carry the .380. I added a mag extender to add one more round plus it increases the grip length. I like the Clock 42 to carry as it is small and easily concealed and with Hornady rounds it would have decent stopping power. I can show it to you in a few weeks

I have a Springfield XD 9 as well for the home. I use a Ruger LCP 380 with crimson laser for conceal. It is very small (size of a wallet) and as a result, I actually carry it. I also found that in an S2000, anything bigger was a hassle.

Most common mistake is carrying a small pistol which is nearly impossible to shoot accurately and manage the recoil. With the right holster and clothing I can easily carry a full size pistol such as a M1911 or Beretta 92/M9. I consider 9mm marginal and only have the Beretta as it's still the Army service pistol. I teach carbine and handgun and students are literally amazed when the other instructor asks me to reveal I'm carrying.
Reliability is key for whatever you choose. Colt Lightweight M1911 is routinely on my hip. 9 rounds of .45ACP JHP will typically defuse any situation.
