He told his family to move away because there were some more bad revelations coming up. And the fiancee has finally put off the wedding.

 

PUT OFF????!!!?? After the evidence that's been found and the fairly obvious photos of him near the scene(s), I think I'd be changing my name and moving far, far away from the likes of this guy!!

 

Well, the other shoe has dropped. Seems Mr. Preppy was swinging both ways - he trolled for hookups with men and mailed nude photos of himself to at least one of them. Oops!

 

And yet I heard on the news that his fiance still supports him.

 

This was one busy and obviously troubled person. Curious if anything during his youth hinted of a human derailment in progress. It takes a lot of time and energy to have such a diverse secret life.

 

There was an interesting discussion yesterday, including an FBI profiler. She said he went to those women's rooms mainly to brutalize them, not rob them. Because of the stuff he took with him - plastic ties, duct tape, etc. And, of course, because of the stuff he left with - the underwear. He had a gun and it would have been easy to rob them and leave. He had more ulterior motives. Very creepy...

 

The human mind is an incredibly interesting thing. I recently read a book about the increasing number of sociopaths (antisocial personalities) in our culture. The position being taken is that these people are born without conscience and unless the mind is retrained in childhood there is no chance of recovery. Then there is another theory that these people are "evolved" and have a better chance of survival than what is now considered normal. If that is the case, I'd prefer to live in the less evolved society of people with conscience.

My guess, and I was thinking this before the male revelations became public, was that he was a very well closeted gay man who was forced to try to live a straight life. His impending wedding triggered an anger against women he might have seen as being a problem to him being himself. he was brutalizung the women he picked up because he couldn't brutalize the woman who was most part of the problem, his fiancee. The very straight laced (no pun intended) and preppy background could have also played into his not being able to come out.

 

Two things people can't hear enough gossip about: sex and murder.
