Default CRZ opinions?

Hi Vintagers,

Looking for opinions about the CRZ. See my thread in the NE forum (or post up in this one): Any CRZ owners out there?

Tnx. And, surely not be as interesting as Legal Bill's search for the perfect BMW!!

Rob (Ralper) bought one for his son a couple of years ago. I'm sure he will have some very good insights. I thought they looked ok, but they never interested me enough to drive one.

If you are worried that FWD can't handle the snow, here are the lowest priced all wheel drive vehicles for 2015. Not sure what is new this year:

Thanks for that, Bill. There might be a Subie in my future, but I want to give thoughtful consideration to Honda. I know they've "left the building" as far as we enthusiasts are concerned, but a CRZ might be a good compromise vehicle as it ticks off some other check marks besides the AWD. I actually like the styling, but I hear you about never being interested enough to drive one.

I think I'm going to head to the dealer for a test.

Whelp, the CRZ is in an airbag recall and the CPO dealers can't allow you to test drive until they fix it. The part is back-ordered, as in months...

I'm not sure if the dealer is right, but he also told me that it's discontinued. They had one new one (not a manual) but thought it might be their last.

So, that was interesting. I'm gonna' have to give this a think. I would like to hear anyone's driving impressions, if they have 'em.

Test driving a 2016 model (with a manual) this evening. Apparently, the airbag has been fixed in cars sold this year.

Is it crazy to buy the last model year?

In what way? Most of the bugs will be worked out. Resale value? How long will you keep it? If you are keeping long term, it probably doesn't matter much. Stigma? "I'm driving an Edsel" kinda stigma? I promise not to point and laugh.
