Who had to work today after the big feast? I'm closed at the shop for one of the few times a year. I learned a loong time ago that it was a waste of time to open on Black Friday. None of my customers seem to be working.

I need to save up vacation time, so I'm working today. The building where the current client is is closed, however, so I'm working from home.

Oops - at this exact moment, I'm not working.

Back to it....

Being in Logistics this is the first company that I have worked for that closes on Friday. Must say it is an excellent choice.

I'm off today. Long ago, it was a hassle with too many people asking for the day off, no one really wanted to work. So, we swapped a personal floating holiday for the day after Thanksgiving. Four day weekend is great.

Rick is at work, I've kept busy at home. Wrapped some presents, did some laundry, a bit of cleaning.

In a little while I'll eat the obligatory day after Thanksgiving turkey sandwich, then head out to do some errands. No mall shopping though.

not being professionally compensated...
it's sort of like an extra saturday, since I'm not technically at 'work'.
just finished the brakes on my wifes car, putting a motion sensor light in the garage staircase next, and then it's starting the plumbing on the new heat exchanger.

Nice thing about being self-employed is shutting off the lights and leaving when I get the urge. Closed for 5 days, until next Tuesday. Yeah, I take every Monday off from April 16 to December 31. But I work 6 days a week Jan 1 - April 15th. (Used to work every day, 7 days a week from about Feb 1 to April 15 when I had partners)
