Colorful indeed. Dean almost got us all kicked out. I've laughed about this event a million times!

Dean's avatar has now been exchanged by the S2ki Administration with the Honorary Membership Badge.

fyi Dean's longtime avatar (Darwin) can now be seen for reference in the pinned Vintage Forum Remembering Its Own Thread.

First picture I've seen when Dean's hair was still long. When we first met at Florida Supermeet he had gone to his trademark buzz cut.

I see now why he favored hats.

Thank you, Jim.

I sure wish that the "Remembering" thread wasn't already two pages long. Let's all hope it is a few years before there are any more additions.

I agree, Mike.

But, ha ha, we are in fact all slowly moving inexorably towards our own departure time. And some of us are friggin' ancient. What is that thing about .. rosebuds?

Jim, I plan to gather some musical rosebuds later today at Jazz Fest. Trombone Shorty, the O'Jays, Steve Winwood, jazz, blues, and maybe some zydeco.

We need photos of Dean that would work for the Home Page. Anybody?

Some possible cropped photos:

From Deb's Nor'easter photo

From the Florida meet at Dean's place

Some photos with original shots are here: I know we have some good photos editors in Vintage. Help?
