Trying to cancel my flights to London. I tried last weekend and now again today. I Can't get through on the internet or by phone to cancel. Family members who have flights for the same dates with other carriers got through and canceled their flights over a week ago. Delta page says wait until the date is within 72 hours of the flight....

 

Uhoh...it is hard to get through. I find that if I call KLM right when the phone lines open I have some success. I just talked to them about my voucher for our flights to Amsterdam. They have also been very responsive and put an online way to get the voucher. Very thorough instructions for canceling or whatever. I am impressed with them. I hope you can get Delta to respond soon.

 

Have you seen this page on Delta.com? Or is it that you have tried to execute the cancelation without success? There are instructions there for those who are Sky Miles members and those who are not.

First of all, I would like to smash my laptop over the head of the person who created that page.

Second of all, oh yes, I'm familiar with it.

Third of all, after opening two Delta pages and going back and forth to follow the directions and find the links I got to the cancelation page.

Fourth of all, I'm still on the cancelation page, going back to click on "continue" every few minutes and repeatedly being told "Oh no, we're sorry....please try again later."

 

Oops...oh well. I have to admit I have not tried the voucher selection yet on KLM because I am waiting to get close to the departure date of April 15. See what happens when I do. The agent told me to call to do it if I want. We'll see what happens when the time comes to actually do it. Good luck.

 

Not sure how much you might be into social media, but some of the other forms can be very expeditious in getting response from Delta. If not, try at odd hours.

 

I cancelled a couple flights last Monday, had no problems.
The 72 hours prior to flight “rule” only applies if you want to cancel by phone.

 

Not much really. Facebook is about it. What else is available?

 

On KLM there is WhatsApp, Messenger and Twitter.
