Guys, it is really hard to imagine that Hillary Clinton could ever make a serious run for President. I agree that it is indeed possible that thoughts of this might be influencing the powers that be in the Dem. party, but -- unlike Da Hapa -- this thought ain't keepin' me up at night.

If nothing else, Brant, because I can't imagine this country accepting Bill Clinton's wife as a serious candidate. Harsh, maybe, but that's how I see it.

Chaz & Da Hapa,

Thanks for the perspectives. On one hand I guess I'm just not convinced that Hillary doesn't have what it takes to overcome the stigma of her husband. On the other hand, I agree that she's also a polarizing individual. I think there is a POSSIBILITY that she could be a person to lead the quest to unify the Democratic party, but I'm not convinced she's the right person to try to heal the country.

While I think she's a gifted speaker and an intelligent woman (both professionally and personally) I don't know that she has the "warm and fuzzy" qualities needed to get us past an emotional rift...and I think THAT is one of our biggest struggles in this country today.
