We still have quite a few locally owned restaurants. Went to one tonight that we've been going to for over 30 years! It's only had three owners in all that time. A few of you S2000 folks have been there with us. Not fancy, but good food reasonably priced and your beverage is placed in front of you right after you sit. We're regulars.

We had a bad experience a few years back at a nearby texas roadhouse grill.
W showed up at 6:00 for dinner, put our name in and was told an hour.
went shopping nearby and returned after 50 minutes. and was told another 1/2 hour.
Despite the stupid, long wait, of course it was only barb and I so they were making sure they sat big groups first.
of course staff are all 20 year old bubble headed twits.
I got annoyed and they finally sat us. finally put in order. Prime rib please.
manager comes over and asks why we seem aggravated.
20 minutes later server comes back out asking if I would like to order something else as they were out of prime rib.
Wait I show up at 6:00 for dinner and can't get prime rib?? really??
ah F^&% this, we're out of here.
Life is to short to put up with that kind of $#!^
