Even though Patty hates is annoyed by this movie, as I said, I love it. In fact, I love it so much, I purchased a replica of the highlight of the move, a MAJOR AWARD. It came yesterday, and it is proudly displayed on my back porch.. (Bea refused to let me put it in a front window!)

Gene, thanks for the idea. We are going to get one for our daughter & son, who both love A Christmas Story. Kohl's has a small 8" table lamp for $10. Since the daughter & son-in-law are driving up for Christmas we have to keep it small for them to take back. It should look good in the back window on their ride home.

I wrote on the first page of this thread, about a movie called Never Look Away we recently saw at the Napa Valley Film Festival. It was excellent! But I wanted to point out, since this is a car site, that movie such as this one that have cars from the 30s and 40s, what is interesting to notice. The vehicles, including even city buses in this movie, are always perfectly clean and without blemish. Take a look at any movie set in the 60s or older. They must rent cars from collectors who have contracts about taking care of their cars. Every one of them look perfect. Start looking for it, it's kind of funny.

Now, Gene, I never said I hated it. I think I watched some of it last year when Ricky had it on. What I said was, "It's too old fashioned for me. I annoyed me. On the other hand, there isn't an old movie I'd want to watch."
