You'll like "Bush's Brain" - just saw it and it was interesting. Not as inflammatory as "Farenheit 911" but more damning in some ways.

The thing that cracks me up is that we get all these political discussions going on and honestly - has anyone actually had their mind changed here?!? I seriously doubt it.

I still am of the opinion that there are a lot of dumbass Americans. Flame me for feeling this way all you like but there ARE a lot of sadly misinformed citizens out there.

Disclaimer: This is not a direct or indirect reference to anyone on this board, O.K.? If you're bright enough to buy an S2000 - you can't be all that bad.

I'm referring to the ones who believe Saddam used WMDs in the Iraq war - that he had a direct involvement with 9/11 - that we actually found WMDs - nobody here is in that group, are they?

Call me elitist or condecending or whatever... at least I'm honest enough to admit my disdain for these folks.

It's not like I'm lobbying for them to be prohibited from marrying or anything like that.

I don't trust Karl Rove at all, but I don't feel like a political fight today, so I'll just leave it at that.

You can at least call me a name or something

I'm going to the Auto Show in a few minutes so I felt like a little conflict beforehand.

Rove is what he is. Both sides have these folks. They don't usually run for office. they usually can't for some reason. They are very bright strategists in general and in charge of what I'll call the "dirty tricks" department for want of a better phrase. Rove is just the best. that is why you know his name and that is why, if you are on the other side of th eaile, you don't like him.

Lig, I won't flame you for your opinion on the uninformed. I'll just say they are on both sides of the aisle too. Like the folks who thought there was a secret deal between Bush and the Saudis to lower oil prices in the weeks before the election and the folks who believe that Bush made up the intelligence about the WMDs that were never found.

I despise the man - but he is effective. Gotta give him his props for that.

Ignorance abounds on all sides, LB. No arguement there.

You're a big doofus and your feet stink. Howzat?
I'm remodeling the guest bathroom today, and this is as feisty as I want to get.

How dumb people are once they make up their mind on something is not very disputable. I remember one documentary where a guy posed as a faith healer at several locations. He then came out and said he was a fake and told them the tricks used to dup them. About 1/3 of the people REFUSED to believe he was fake.

I am NOT just referring to "some people". I am referring to you. I am referring to me. I am referring to everyone. We have ALL done this and if you don't think you have, then you are even worse off than those that can admit it.
