Default Do you get a flu shot?

I just got my flu shot today and was wondering if most of you get one. Many years ago I had the flu and ended up with pneumonia. Ever since then I've gotten a flu shot. Other than some aches/pains the first day I usually have no side effects from the shot.

I was going to ask this question last week, after I got mine!

I've been getting the flu shot for years. I've got some asthma that kicks up if I have respiratory issues, and the flu could certainly complicate matters.

I've never had the flu, but Rick did once. I've never seen him so wiped out.

Yep, with my chronic issues, I've been getting one every year. Almost missed last year, but +1's agency had extra doses. My HMO didn't have it when I had my physical and they never followed up pon my request to let me know when it came in. This year. the doc gave me the shot the day of my physical. No aches or pains, maybe a bit of tenderness at the injection point was all.

My university offers free flu shots every fall for faculty, so I always get in line and get a shot in the arm. I've done it for years and have never noticed any side effects. I'm not sure how effective they are, but I hardly ever get even a cold; so maybe they do work for me.

My county gives them in a series of clinics. And yes I got it.

I got so sick and was down three days from the last one I got, I'm gambling this year and going without one. I'm taking extra immune boosting supplements on the side though. I live in hope.

I've never gotten one and don't plan to. At least not this year.

Yep, got it this year. My daughter got the flu already. She was in bed for almost a week. I didn't want to take that chance even though I'm pretty lucky. I usually don't get sick and if I do it's mild and doesn't last long. No reaction at all to the shot.

The same goes for me. I've never had the flu, so I don't see the need.

You've got all that bongo stuff going on over there, no self respecting flu bug would dare.
