Do you lose things?
Knock wood, I've never lost my keys or locked them into the car, as many folks of all ages do, however, in the last little while, I'm losing "stuff."
I was packing to go somewhere and could not find a black sweater. I think I know when it was last worn, and I think I've looked everywhere in the house, but I can't find it. Another time (BV)before Vintage status, I was again packing for a trip and somewhere along the way I realized I could not find a watch. Just a cheap Timex, but I have no idea where that ended up. Sunglasses? I have to buy cheap ones as they get lost as often as I do, if I travel without a GPS.
So now that you're
do you misplace things more often?

I rarely misplace things, but I sometimes go into a room knowing I came into it for a reason and have to work at remembering why!
To make up for my seldom misplacing anything, my +1 delays every single car trip we make (even if it is only a trip to the grocer) because he can't find his glasses. GRRRRR. The ONLY reason I do not lose things is because I FORCE myself to put things in their assigned location ALWAYS.

I periodically become preoccupied with larger issues and overlook the day to day mundane, like where are my sunglasses.
that's my story and I'm sticking with it

Just another example of CRS

As far as going into a room and forgetting why I'm there......ALL the time.

No. I put things in a place where I'll always remember where they are. Then I can't remember where that place is.

I am missing my radar detector (STILL after searching 2 months). Can you tell me where would have been a good place I might have put it?I know it was somewhere that made sense at the time. I found the cord - why I did not pack that with it at the time...

Keys have never been a problem for me... my S key will still be clenched in my cold dead fingers when the time comes. I never go anywhere w/o them. Good thing there is a spare set

Two things - as mny of you know I travel a lot for business. I have left so many things in hotels over the years, one could probably make a pretty decent living on e-bay just auctioning the things I have left behind.
One time, I left a $500 pair of prescription sunglasses in a rental car that I turned in. I never got the glasses back, so I learned to get the kind of sunglasses that fit over my existing glasses - I can sometimes find them in the dollar store, and I will buy them 5 at a time.
I am constantly leaving my phone somewhere. Fortunately it is usually in the car.
