Do you remember?
Ohhhh ... you may be referring to the 'heat exchanger' comment. I regret that it sounds as if that was my idea. That was George, the hired hands idea. We only knew that it worked. There was certainly no HS science for me. I'm the sad product of a two room school education through the eighth grade and a HS graduation class of 16.

First time driving was in a 67 VW Beetle. It belonged to an older friend of mine and one night he asked if I could drive a stick shift. Being 14 and full of bravado, of course I said yes. He then proceeded to bring us to a traffic light at the top of a hill with a very steep grade. He jumped out, came around to the passenger side, and told me to drive. It's amazing that the car had any clutch left after me trying to get the thing going on that *&$%@*# hill!
In driver's ed (private driving school), they had really cool cars, I'm sure to attract customers. I took my lessons, and my road test in a 72 Malibu convertible. It was a sort of orange color, and being springtime we had the top down during most lessons.

The cop
, said good luck and left.
I did just fine!Driving school car was a 1972 or 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger. I thought I was
The first time that I can remember being behind the wheel of a car was when I was about eight years old. I had an Uncle that lived next door from me and he let me drive less than one block sitting on his lap steering his 1953 Cadillac as he had controll of the pedals. The first time the I ever was really in control of a car was an old junker of car in a field in Up State NY at a neighbors house at about the age of twelve. I think that is what hooked me on driving. I remember getting the A$$ end hung out a bit, and I liked it.
